What is the difference between a Large StarSmilez® & Small StarSmilez® Personality?
A Large StarSmilez® educational toy is equipped with a fully flossible dental model that is twice the size of a life-sized model. These educational toys also are puppets that include a hole for a hand to manipulate the mouth. Large StarSmilez® range in size from 25 to 15 inches tall and come with an oversized demonstration toothbrush. The squirt bottle feature releases water from the mouth in a stream to entertain audiences or can be used to demonstrate suction use if the bottle is squeezed softly. Large StarSmilez® have served the dental industry for over a decade and are time-tested tools for high impact oral health discussions.
A Small StarSmilez® educational plush toy is equipped with a dental model that is half the size of an actual mouth and has four flossible locations: two on the top and two on the bottom. These plush educational toys are too small to be puppets, but they are nevertheless helpful in teaching kids good oral health habits. To make them extra fun for toddlers and preschoolers, the Small StarSmilez® early learning toys come with a children's toothbrush and a demonstration toothbrush, which helps the health educator or health professional provide kids with tooth brushing recommendations. Their compact size is perfect for kids to use and they can be easily passed around during group presentations or in-office demonstrations, making them an ideal teaching tool. Compelling and motivational, the Small StarSmilez® educational toys make great brushing and flossing companions for children.
What do I do if I need a repair or replacement?
StarSmilez®, as the successor to both the Zoo Animal Teaching Aids® and Plak Posse Palz® product lines, fully supports the customers of all three lines which have served the dental industry for almost two decades. If you own an older model that has an issue with the dental model, it is possible that your dental model can be replaced for a fee. Please contact us at Smilecare@StarSmilez.com and we will do our best to meet your needs.
Which one is best for group instruction?
A Large StarSmilez® educational toy has a greater impact due to its size and interactive design. Used as a puppet, it is both animated and memorable. A Large StarSmilez® educational toy is equipped with a fully flossible dental model that is twice the size of a life-sized model. You should consider a family pack, which includes both large and small educational toys, which can be used to further enhance your "good oral health habits" presentation. Using a Large StarSmilez® plush toy to illustrate your oral health message has a significant impact because you can teach parents, toddlers, preschoolers and audience members of any age how to brush and floss properly. The smaller StarSmilez® educational toys can be distributed to your audience so that they can reinforce their learning by performing tooth brushing and flossing exercises on their toys.
How do I use the Velcro® closure?
Use it to hold the oversized, fun toothbrush, store the tongue, or hold any other instrument that is relevant to your discussion about promoting dental hygiene and proper dental care.
How do I use the tongue in my Large StarSmilez® Personality?
The tongue, originally located in the Velcro® closure, has two-sided pressure-sensitive Velcro® attached to it. Attach the pressure-sensitive side to the lower palate of the dental model to position the tongue inside the mouth. It can be removed at will depending on the nature of your oral health discussion.
Can I wash my StarSmilez® educational toy?
All our oral health educational plush toys can be surface cleaned with a mild soap or cleaner and water. We do not recommend full submersion or washing machine use as this could damage the dental model as well as the filling inside the body.
Are StarSmilez® made for children or dental professionals?
We have served the dental profession for over two decades and our product designs continue to benefit from this long and successful relationship with dental and health professionals worldwide. How do I return a new product?
We strive to provide the best products, but if for some reason you are unhappy with your purchase, please return it within 30 days for a full refund of the merchandise cost or we can exchange the product for you. Please complete and submit our RMA form and we will contact you with RMA instructions to best meet your needs
Is the dental model flossible?
Large StarSmilez® are fully flossible with inter-proximal spaces, contacts, and gingival crevasses. Small StarSmilez® have 4 flossible locations, two on top and two on the bottom jaw.
Do you provide brushing guidelines?
Our purpose is to improve the lives of others as advocates for great oral health. We keep our brushing guidelines intentionally broad in order to meet the needs of our diverse audiences.
We offer the following strategy to all our customers and their audiences:
- Eat Healthy
- Brush your teeth at least twice a day
- Visit your dentist twice a year
- Ask your dentist or hygienist about flossing
- Show those StarSmilez®!
